If something in the Marquette Tribune is wrong, we want to know.
How to report an error
Use our contact page and put “Correction” in the subject line. Tell us which story, what is wrong and, if you can, how you know. The message goes to the editor, Jessica Morgan, who checks it with the reporter.
What we do about it
When a fact in a story is wrong, we fix the story and add a note at the bottom saying what was changed and when. A wrong name, number or date gets a correction note even if the fix is small. Spelling and grammar fixes that don’t change the meaning are made without a note. We don’t quietly delete stories to hide mistakes.
When a story is updated with new information rather than corrected, the updated date at the top of the story changes and the new information is added to the story.
Press releases
Press releases labeled as such come from PR Newswire and the organizations that issue them. If you think a release contains an error, contact the organization named in it. If it should not be on our site at all, tell us and we will look at it.
