The Marquette men’s tennis team claimed its 11th straight victory Sunday against Eastern Illinois at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium 6-1. Seniors Dusan Medan, Niko Boulieris and Mark Rutherford were honored for their contributions this match, their last at the Helfaer. The team also continued its streak of dropping no more than two sets all season. |
The women’s tennis team went one-up, one-down today, now at 8-6 on the season. Marquette’s first loss at home came from Wisconsin this afternoon in a series of close battles, the Badgers finally reigning 5-2. Later in the evening, the Golden Eagles rebounded to top Wisconsin-Milwaukee, 7-0. |
The Golden Eagles lost to Depaul 72-63 which extended their current losing streak to three games. |

After a tough loss at Western Michigan on Friday, the women’s tennis team earned two morale-boosting victories today over the Illinois State Redhawks and University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Phoenix, 6-1 and 7-0, respectively. The Golden Eagles are now 7-3 on the season. |
